On Thursday, 14 April, our golden jackals will be moving to the Lodz Zoo in Poland.
Once they are gone, the enclosure will be modified, allowing us to keep all Sri Lankan leopards on-exhibit in both displays soon. Both enclosures were originally intended for leopards.
In the current leopard enclosure, the mother and her cub and the adult male take turns on-exhibit. We also have multiple off-exhibit leopard enclosures. Leopards are strictly solitary animals outside of mating season. If you see two leopards together, they are likely mother and cub or a young male with a female in heat.
